$400k+ yearly salary for a crypto CMO is imo totally reasonable. In the past, better faster tech was the competitive advantage. In 2025, blockchain tech is commoditized. They're all fast and cheap. Distribution is the new competitive edge.

Before Unfungible led with this, it was something that brought me to the position I'm in today. I made incredible connections back then and these guys are my close friends today. I'm really happy seeing @rektmando, @osf_rekt, and the REKT team getting the recognition they're now having. I remember in 2023 reading Mando's daily market recaps. This is a reminder that this game takes time! Business is spending a lot of time going sideways for the future promise of one big wick up. And these guys have been building up to that moment since the previous bull. Much-deserved success.

What have I done

Stop renting attention, own it. Become the KOL, the person of influence, the one with the connections. The brands with the most longevity in this space are the ones whose founders understood that owning your distribution channel is the only way to survive.

A lot of people use AI to write replies that bait you into responding. Rule number one of surfing the internet and creating content: Never allow yourself to get baited into an AI generated reply. Can’t let anyone, especially an AI, control your emotional triggers. “But how do you know?” Very soon, we won’t. Which is why the best strategy moving forward will be to leave all replies designed to trigger a respond unanswered.
