The issue is not the lack of “right-wing art” but the infrastructure of reception to interpret art, media, culture and society from that lens and instill a generative discourse to feed back into it, and document it; without which our contemporary avant-garde goes unseen & unheard

It’s funny we’re having the monthly There Is No Right Wing Art discourse at the same time as a million videos of Clav at the Elena Velez show are going viral etc etc. I get that it’s goofy and stupid but that’s actually what it looks like to create an alternative economy for art.
The question is not “what is right wing art”? Any authentic art today must be “right wing”, as far as the right is now defined as a rejection of the left, and as the left is defined as the institutionalized ideology shared by media & academia; which the avant-garde must exist by definition outside of, and as far as institutional art has lost all its vigor and relevancy, art is to be found in the avant-garde, then the question is only: can an avant-garde exist without a discourse to receive it? Not perceivably except by its direct participants— the lost generation of criticism, folded into a shameless PR arm of the gallery system, is responsible for the lost generation of art.
