Got a business idea for you
The chances of your parents getting scammed out of a lot of money are getting higher. But they also don't want YOU to be in charge of their money/transactions.
I'm here to offer you "friend scammer". I will scam your parents, take their money, and then be the custodian of a wallet that holds their cash
Solves several problems:
1) your parents realize they can, in fact, be scammed and start creating safeguards
2) the money that would have been scammed is kept safe
3) real scammers suffer since the low hanging fruit is now protected
I don't need to raise money for this, I will have a friends and your family round anyway

at what point do you think a person would be comfortable with an AI grading them as peer?
If you look at things like peer review for example, lots of people complain about the bias and variance per peer. Is there a point at which people would prefer their review done by an AI (which is maybe MORE standard across people and auditable?)
Think of the number of things in our society that requires the judgment of peers (at work, court, etc.). Would it be better if it WASN'T our real peers, but something peer-like?
The downside obviously is that AI likely can't empathize with a situation that they're grading on a human-level and also doesn't have to deal with the downstream ramifications of their choices (e.g. maybe you don't want to totally annihilate a coworker and actually try to improve them so you can work better together in the future)

There's a lot of engineers and tech people that have asked me about "getting into healthcare". Well...here's your chance to actually work on real healthcare problems!
At our healthcare AI hackathon in NY. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MONDAY!!!
You don't need to have a team or any healthcare experience. We'll bring you healthcare experts, problems they're dealing with, and the tools and pair you up with people. You'll get food and cool swag too :)

AI startups are going to get squeezed between the foundation models that now want to build applications themselves + the systems of record that have all the context data and also want to build the applications themselves
curious how others think this competition will play out
1) systems of record still lack a lot of context outside of the record, so your company could stitch together the outside context to make a new system of record
2) AI is part of your process but includes IRL components to deliver services, capture data, etc.
3) You AI applications are best in class for a really specific workflow that the systems of record or foundation models just can't make good enough (e.g. making a consumer application/interface, which the enterprise companies have 0 idea how to do well)

it's clear that chatGPT is becoming the first place people go to for their health questions - doubly interesting because of how expensive and competitive these ad spaces have been historically
very curious how companies handle marketing with these changes - I've heard of agencies that can help companies get mentioned in chatGPT responses but it seems impossible to do that reliably?
