BTC vs Gold vs Global M2 Gold has gone on a huge rally recently, catching up with Global M2. BTC has not followed. However, BTC tends to follow gold with a lag. Furthermore, there is a zone of gold & m2 confluence coming up. Therefore, is my belief that BTC will make a "catch-up" move because: 🔹 1. Gold just closed the gap with Global M2 [chart 1]. 🔹 2. Bitcoin broadly tends to follow gold's moves up, with a delay. 🔹 3. BTC/GOLD chart looks primed for a run-up and breakout. [chart 2] 🔹 4. There is a period of confluence whereby both gold and global M2 run up together for about 1 month. [see white box on chart 3]. To me, this signals an increased likelihood that BTC might follow. All of these charts seem to be in alignment with each other, suggesting that BTC may be due for a move up to outpace gold for a while, and to "catch up". A breakout of the BTC/GOLD chart would back up the fact that BTC could outpace gold for a period of time. It would also serve to somewhat catch BTC back up with Global M2. It could be an explosion waiting to happen. - TIMING - If I had to make a guess as to timing, I'd say the steepest BTC move up could begin around November 8th (based on the gold and global M2 charts both making moves up around then-- a form of confluence) and last for 1-2 months after that. [chart 3] Timing is the most difficult part to get right, so give me some fudge factor on that. Note: I don't think it's a guarantee that BTC fully catches up to the global M2 line, as, thus far, it has always broken correlation near cycle tops. It would be a first if it didn't do so.
