As AI actually becomes capable of substituting for human labor, your country's GDP will be denominated by your AI population size, which is downstream of energy.
What does this mean for different countries? Given how fast the US falling behind China in electricity generation, what would it take for us to make up the ground?
What are the most plausible sources (natural gas, nuclear, solar), what are their supply curves, the main physical or regulatory bottlenecks that would slow down a ramp up, etc.

The biggest failure mode when doing difficult intellectual work is to procrastinate the hard, aversive, but effective parts (rereading the chapter instead of doing practice problems, collecting more sources instead of writing the first draft, etc).
LLM use is (for now) often one such.

I was one of the 16 devs in this study. I wanted to speak on my opinions about the causes and mitigation strategies for dev slowdown.
I'll say as a "why listen to you?" hook that I experienced a -38% AI-speedup on my assigned issues. I think transparency helps the community.
