Gartner cannot stop embarrassing itself. IBM > Anthropic? lol IBM pays Gartner a LOT, so Gartner ranks IBM’s barely existent, nonused GenAI model above it ofc I pity anyone working at companies where CTOs make purchase deicisions over such unusable pay-to-play reports

Anthropic: Here is Claude 4.5 Sonnet, a model that can reason. IBM: Here is a rebadged model wrapped in 47 layers of governance that only runs on a specific flavor of OpenShift. Gartner: Clearly, IBM is the superior innovator. Do @Gartner_inc analysts buy pre-shat pants?
Gartner’s ranking of AI coding tools. Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor don’t pay Gartner so Gartner doesn’t list them, or downranks. And puts AWS Q as better than Cursor lol It’s now a running joke - Gartner cannot help it. Its business model is to uprank vendors that pay! 💰

Gartner has been out of touch with tech analysis: and their latest report on AI coding assistants show just by how much. - They rank Amazon, GitLab, GCP, Windsurf all above Cursor - No mention of Claude Code or OpenAI Codex Cursor pays Gartner nothing: others do Embarrassing
Who would have thought that AI will kill Gartner: but not the way you expected. But because it exposes how the only way to come out as “best” in a category is pay Gartner, else be downranked But the objectively best AI companies don’t pay Gartner So Gartner reports are 🤡
