Gas Station: Pay gas fees with stablecoins you already hold on OKX Wallet
Gas Station lets you use USDT, USDC, or USDG to pay transaction fees - so your transactions go through even when your ETH or BNB balance is low.
What is Gas Station?
Gas Station is a feature in OKX Wallet that lets you pay gas fees using stablecoins. Keep your USDT, USDC, or USDG working across 7 networks - without needing to top up native tokens on each one.
Supported gas tokens: USDC, USDT, USDG
Supported networks: Ethereum, X Layer, BNB Chain, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Optimism
How it works
When you use Gas Station, a third-party relayer covers the native gas upfront. You repay in your chosen stablecoin within the same transaction - settled automatically, nothing extra to sign.On your first use per network, your wallet upgrades to a smart contract wallet via EIP-7702. This is a one-time step and is bundled into your first Gas Station transaction.
How to use Gas Station
Update your OKX Wallet app to the latest version, then:
If your native token balance is low, Gas Station automatically selects your highest stablecoin balance to cover gas. You can switch to a different stablecoin at any time from the Network Fee section.
If you have enough native tokens, you can still choose to pay gas with a stablecoin - just tap the Network Fee section on the transaction confirmation page.
Note: Gas Station is available on the OKX Wallet app and browser extension. It is not available when transferring native tokens such as ETH or OKB.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see the Gas Station option?
Check that your app or browser extension is updated to the latest version and that your current network and token are supported. Gas Station is also unavailable when transferring native tokens such as ETH or OKB.
Is there a fee for the first-time setup?
Yes - the first time you use Gas Station on a network, a one-time setup fee applies. This covers the onchain upgrade to a smart contract wallet and is automatically bundled into your first Gas Station transaction, so there's nothing extra to action.
Do I need to set up separately on each network?
Yes. The one-time setup applies per network. Once done on a network, subsequent Gas Station transactions on that network carry no setup fee.
