I think that AI will help both civilizations a lot. The case for automating grindset/normal science work is obvious. But Kuhnian paradigmatic shifts don't really require some harder cognition. Asian problem is one of intellectual courage.

The problem is that more usemaxxed LLMs are biased towards median, safe answers. They're very wasian indeed. You need to raise the temperature to get them to speculate, without reducing it to low-epiplexity gibberish. Then, humans can pursue promising avenues.
