Actually, it feels like it's coming soon. BSC is now following the path of Base. Back then, Base also had a good hand but played it poorly; I won't go into details. The founder of the Base chain was also messing things up, so even those who used to play on Base felt that the Base chain was just a joke.
The reason BSC was able to gain trading volume initially wasn't because of itself, but because of the support from its peers. Base was bad, and Sol's Toly was promoting a bunch of rug projects. After getting tired of playing on Sol, everyone started trying BSC, and just in time, BSC launched two great projects that attracted traffic. The series of operations that followed, as everyone has seen, were inconsistent; their responses were also lackluster.
Are there as many long-term builders actively constructing BSC as there are for Base? If it weren't for the support from peers, who would come to BSC? Pumping can only maintain hype for a while; it can't retain traders. A few months ago, the heat of the BSC chain was worlds apart from what it is now, and the performance of BNB is the same. The community has been giving feedback, but they are stubbornly going their own way. They say one thing but do another, and they don't dare to admit it. When asked, they either don't respond or avoid the question entirely, or they divert the conversation elsewhere. If this continues, I think it will soon be like Base. At least Base still has long-term builders and opportunities. What does BSC have left besides empty talk and a bunch of KOLs banding together?
I wonder what kind of mindset the leading team in an industry must have to turn a blockchain into something that everyone scoffs at, especially when there are peers to compare with and so many historical projects to learn from.
