X Layer Community Verification Program
As the X Layer ecosystem continues to grow, a rising number of community-led assets and innovative projects are emerging across the network. Helping projects and communities with genuine support and long-term potential gain greater visibility is an important part of building a thriving ecosystem. To support this goal, X Layer is introducing the Community Verification program, together with a transparent set of eligibility criteria and review procedures. Through this program, we aim to identify ecosystem projects and communities with genuine community support, active participation, and a proven commitment to long-term development. This will give deserving communities more opportunities to be discovered and supported, while helping X Layer direct ecosystem resources and operational support where they can have the greatest impact. We believe that a thriving ecosystem begins with its community and is shaped by the people within it—creating consensus, value, and opportunity together.
1. What Is X Layer Community Verification?
“Community Verified” is a label displayed in OKX Wallet Markets to identify tokens with a strong level of community recognition. X Layer evaluates eligible tokens across multiple dimensions, including authenticity, community strength, on-chain data, smart contract security, and potential risks. Tokens that meet the required standards may receive the “Community Verified” label. Verification results will be reviewed and updated periodically. A project’s verification status may also be adjusted based on its ongoing development, on-chain performance, or changes in its risk profile.
2. How Are Projects Evaluated?
Tokens applying for Community Verification must meet the following baseline requirements:
1. Verifiable Project Identity
The project must maintain at least two active and verifiable official channels, such as X, a website, Telegram, or Discord.
2. Community Requirements
The community must have been publicly active for at least five days.
The project must have at least 1,000 followers on X or at least 200 members on Telegram, Discord, or another community platform.
The community must demonstrate genuine activity, with original content, real user engagement, user-generated content, or community discussions taking place consistently over the past three days.
3. On-Chain Requirements
The token must have been launched at least five days ago.
The primary liquidity pool must have at least USD 30,000 in liquidity.
The token must have at least 500 holders.
The token must have a market capitalization of at least USD 600,000.
The top 10 user addresses must collectively hold no more than 20% of the token supply.
4. Smart Contract Security and Other Risks
The token contract must not contain any clearly identifiable high-risk mechanisms or permissions, including but not limited to:
Any party being able to unilaterally withdraw the core liquidity at any time.
Unrestricted permissions to mint additional tokens, pause trading, or freeze accounts.
The ability to upgrade the contract without appropriate restrictions, or control of critical parameters through a single private key.
Any other risks that may compromise user assets or trading security.
5. Review and Anti-Manipulation Measures
X Layer will use both on-chain and community data to verify the authenticity of each applicant. Projects engaging in any of the following activities will not be eligible for the “Community Verified” label:
Manipulating liquidity pools or using wash trading, self-trading, or similar methods to create artificial trading volume.
Using batches of coordinated or related addresses to inflate holder numbers.
Manipulating liquidity, trading volume, market capitalization, or other key metrics.
Temporarily adding liquidity to meet the eligibility requirements and withdrawing it shortly after verification.
Submitting false or misleading information, or withholding material project information.
These requirements represent baseline eligibility criteria only. Meeting them does not guarantee verification. X Layer will also assess factors such as genuine community activity, on-chain performance, liquidity quality, and potential risks. Verification results will be reviewed and updated periodically.
3. What Are the Benefits of Community Verification?
Community Verification will serve as an important reference for X Layer ecosystem incentives. X Layer will offer different forms of support based on each project’s stage of development:
Liquidity incentives: Future liquidity incentive campaigns will focus on new projects and emerging communities, with priority given to tokens that have received the “Community Verified” label. These campaigns are designed to help early-stage projects strengthen liquidity and gain market visibility. Tokens that have already participated in previous X Layer LP incentive campaigns will not be eligible for subsequent campaigns of the same type.
Trading competitions and advanced incentives: Future trading competitions and other advanced incentive programs will focus on more established projects with stronger communities or greater market scale, providing them with larger campaign incentives and additional ecosystem benefits.
Through this multi-layered incentive structure, X Layer aims to provide support that better reflects each project’s stage of development—helping emerging communities accelerate their growth while creating greater opportunities for established communities.
4. How to Apply
X Layer ecosystem projects and communities that meet the baseline requirements may apply through the official application form: https://forms.gle/cHwjkkgcrFG97ZpS8 Applications will be reviewed in batches every two days, after which verification results will be updated. Projects that do not yet meet the requirements may apply again in a future review cycle after further developing their communities, improving on-chain activity and liquidity, optimizing token distribution, or addressing potential risks. The “Community Verified” label is intended solely to provide information about the community strength and activity of projects within the X Layer ecosystem. It does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by X Layer.
