Onchain Account Setup#
Onchain access is available to eligible OKX users who have completed identity verification. Availability depends on the user’s region and account eligibility. If Enable trading is displayed on a supported spot or perpetual trading page, the user can begin the onboarding flow.
During first-time setup, the user completes these steps:
- Accept the applicable agreements displayed on the page.
- Confirm that the OKX account is linked to an eligible email address, and update the address if required.
- Use an eligible existing passkey or create a new passkey.
- Complete authentication and authorization with the passkey.
- Complete facial verification if prompted.
Onchain creates or links a dedicated Account Abstraction (AA) smart account for trading. Users do not need to import a separate Web3 wallet or manage a private key or seed phrase for routine use. The passkey is the primary credential for authentication and transaction authorization and can be managed from User Center > Security settings.
If the user already has an eligible Onchain setup through another supported product, the existing account configuration is reused. The user only needs to complete any outstanding agreements or required verification.
