One thing I’ve learned after years in crypto is not to get stuck in old paradigms. The old guy yelling at the cloud will lose cuz he can't adapt. He isn't open to new metas or opportunities. Instead he spends his time arguing, doomscrolling and complaining about how things used to be. Yes, the pendulum can swing too far in a negative direction. Yes, there are bad actors who should be called out. Yes, extraction is at extreme levels right now. But this space has a way of cleansing itself in deep bear markets. The grifters leave and the excess gets flushed out. The space heals and the builders remain, joined by new ones. I still believe crypto is one of the most transformational technologies of our lifetime, and one of the few paths toward freedom in an increasingly fucked up world. But if all you do is focus on the negative, you are not helping the space improve. If you can only point out problems without offering solutions, you are not much better than the extractors. You still have agency here. Your voice matters. All this to say, you are going to be okay as long as you stay committed, zoom out and avoid pointless arguments while the market chops.
