i built an app called Taste where you “lick” the screen to save designs you like 👅 it came from thinking a lot about why tools like Codex feel like they have bad taste maybe the problem isn’t bad taste maybe it’s not knowing your taste ()

when you see something you like, you save the screenshot and say why you like it (cmd+shift+t) Taste takes those screenshots + your explanations and extracts the visual patterns underneath them: color, spacing, typography, rounding, shadows, overall feel, etc

then it turns all of that into an evolving taste skill for Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor so instead of starting from generic taste every time, your tools start learning yours

you can also go back through your screenshots, mark favorites to weight them more heavily, or just use it as a repository of design inspiration
