1 year at Coinbase/Base today 🎂 here's what we built, what I learned and why I think we're just getting started. 🧵

our team runs 5-day sprints every Monday we align on what ships by Friday - plus the bigger features cooking in parallel it sounds simple. it's actually one of the hardest disciplines to maintain at scale

the biggest unlock this year wasn't a feature it was us actually talking to our top traders - directly, honestly, regularly you told us what was broken. we listened. that changed everything (thank you, seriously 🙏 pls keep the feedback coming)

what we shipped in the @baseapp in 12 months: • complete assets page rebuild • swap engine 4x faster • live metadata for all core stats • new trading tab with trending coins (first ever) • swap success rate → near 100% (excluding liquidity edge cases) • hide/unhide asset management • social trading from any tab • PnL on every open position • new wallet and portfolio with filters

people ask me: what's it like to work at @coinbase? honest answer: it's hard. It's challenging. It's not for everyone. but if you're someone who refuses to do work that doesn't matter - you'll love it here
