Brown trout caught on a fly rod at "the creek" where Hemingway most liked to fish (south of Sun Valley). Alone on this stretch of the creek.
Not this time of year. Too cold makes them lethargic. On the creek there was actually a midge hatch. Fish were active and feeding. The "Swish and Fish": Local guides recommend skiing in the morning and hitting the water in the afternoon. The trout won't really "wake up" until the sun hits the water and triggers midge activity.
