I feel like at some point having AI agents running inside our computers with access to emails, passwords, social media, etc will be the norm.
We are moving very fkn fast. It’s honestly a bit scary to even think about.
Giving an AI agent full access to your computer sounds cool until you realize you’re basically giving a HYPEREFFICIENT INTERN all your passwords, emails, files, and logins.
Some big corporation will probably be running the infrastructure for most of these agents on normal household computers. They’ll hopefully spend millions on privacy and security, but it’s hard not to think that one day some cracked hackers in North Korea or smth will eventually find a way into that layer.
It wouldn't be a normal data leak. There could be MILLIONS of agents already logged in everywhere, doing the stealing for them.
We could probably experience one of the biggest data breaches ever at some point. I don’t even want to think about the potential consequences.
I’m not a dev or a hacker at all. Am I being too paranoid, or is this a real threat?
Where are all the smart people at? Explain this to me like I’m 12.
