In those years, SBF was considered the chosen one of Silicon Valley, the kind of person every entrepreneur dreamed of becoming; he could invest in whatever he wanted without limits... And as far as I know, SBF's investments don't look at returns; he invests if he finds it appealing, and the brothers below him don't have any KPIs, which makes it much easier to invest in top projects compared to most funds that aim for profit.
