A lot of the issues I encounter or hear about wrt AI agents really are skills issues, like, literally . For example, early on I kept getting frustrated that Claude code kept returning “pdf too large” when I asked it to use a pdf. Turned out it’s because the default setting can only handle 20 pages or less at a time. Solution: a pdf parser skill. I prompted the source of issue, asked CC to create the skill file, and it was resolved in <5 min. Essentially all the issues I’ve encountered can be resolved in this way. So if you’re struggling w something, create a skill to solve it.
