ESO 137-001 Constellation: Triangulum Australe Distance: 220 million light years RA: 16h 13m 27.30s Dec: −60° 45′ 50.59″ ESO 137-001 is a barred spiral "jellyfish" galaxy located in the Norma Cluster, constellation Triangulum Australe. As it plummets through the cluster, it undergoes violent ram-pressure stripping, causing its gas and dust to be torn away and forming a 260,000 light-year-long, star-forming tail.
