I’ve been browsing Product Hunt all day. Most launches look great on the surface. This one is 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 is trending today, but the real story isn’t the screenshots — it’s what’s happening 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 the hood. A 𝟯𝟮𝗕 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹, running efficiently in 4-bit, designed for people who actually 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 things. Not another wrapper. Not hype-first AI. At this scale, it’s easily one of the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 open-source models I’ve come across — especially when you factor in 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 and 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 usability. What caught my attention: – 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 reasoning & coding performance – 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 efficient on lower-end GPUs – 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲, with real benchmarks and a usable API You can tell this was built by engineers who care about 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁, 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮, and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 — not just demos. They’re also quietly giving builders some 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 API credits during the holidays, which is a nice touch — but honestly, the 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 itself is the reason to look. If you’re a builder, this one’s 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 a look 👇 Curious to see where they take 𝗩2. #AI #LLM #OpenSource #Developers #ProductHunt #MachineLearning #BuildInPublic #AlpieCore #AIInfrastructure
