Hubble in front of the Sun!
We're usually amazed by images taken by the Hubble telescope, but here we have stunning shots in which we see Hubble itself—albeit as a small, dark silhouette.
These images were taken by astrophotographer Efrain Morales in Puerto Rico. Hubble is flying in front of the Sun. The entire event lasts just over a second. It's hurtling along its orbit at 27,000 km/h. To capture this transit, it was necessary to be within a narrow region of Earth just 7.5 km wide.
The images were taken with the LS50THa solar telescope on a CGX-L mount. ZWO ASI290MM camera + 2x Barlow lens.
