I almost switched to over to an $80,000 a year vendor the other day — after many, many years on the competiton. What stopped me? The $7,500 migration fee. That only showed up when I got the quote. It’s not that I can’t afford it. It’s just that, combined with the fact the new vendor was already slightly more expensive, just added too much friction to the deal. I might still buy. But not today. Now, it’s pushed into 2026. No amount of emails or offers to now be “more flexible” is going to change that. It’s too late for 2025. Maybe, even the moment has been lost. I’ve decided to stick it out with the existing vendor for another year. Was it worth the $7,500 fee? And ask yourself ... would you want to pay it yourself?
