so curious to see how they splice the inaugural ad partners into the actual chat flow. like does the model slip it into the response somehow? does it surface during that weird limbo when it’s “thinking…” (although free users aren’t really routed to thinking model that often) or do they tack it on after the answer like a little commercial at the end? whatever the pattern, it’s a legit step change. it’s the first time ads show up inside an ai interface stitched directly into the conversational fabric. this might radically shift how ppl perceive the responses. my guess is there will be a large cohort who feel like the ads are biasing the response somehow. but in the long run maybe it’ll just work. overtime though it’ll be super interesting to manage the ad formats & ad loads (because there will always be a case to increase both).
