🔴@Sei_Labs published a research paper exploring the MEV of the MCP blockchain, let me give you a brief summary. 🔴 What is the new MEV brought by MCP? We are all familiar with traditional MEV: Front-running trades, sandwich attacks, arbitrage bots, censorship attacks... these are all based on a single proposer’s sequential block production model. But when multiple proposers produce blocks simultaneously, the rules of the game change completely. The new types of MEV brought by MCP: ▪️ Transaction theft: When multiple proposers are working at the same time, there may be cases where transactions are "snatched away." ▪️ Proposer-to-Proposer Auctions: New bidding mechanisms may form between proposers. ▪️ Timing races: The time coordination of multiple proposers creates new arbitrage opportunities. 🔴 Key finding: Protocol controllable Sei Labs' research shows that the new types of MEV generated by MCP are not unlimited, but fall within the range that the protocol can control. Unlike traditional MEV, which can only be patched up afterward, the MEV of MCP can be prevented and limited at the architectural level. 🔴 Why is this important? When Giga launches with 5 Gigagas throughput and 200K+ TPS, the scale and complexity of MEV will also explode. If we do not understand and prepare in advance, users will face unprecedented MEV attacks. Sei Labs' paper is an important step in preventing potential issues. Next, Sei Labs will continue to delve into these new forms of MEV and begin proposing solutions to limit them. This proactive research approach also gives me great confidence in Sei's foresight in the design of the next generation of blockchains.🤔
