This has been a really crazy journey 8 days to go Took a full month off due to injury Came back and did a 20k in mountains (fine) 6k (fine) 9k (fine) Decided to extend my 22k to 30k because I hadn’t done a long one and had been off for a while… it was roughhhh towards the end. Muscles entirely dead + bottom of left foot sore w/impaxt Muscles dead & limpy with tired legs so I rested for 4 days and felt pretty good again Tried to run a simple 5k on Thursday (2 days ago) and only made it 3k, total total death, like bone deep pain not muscles Told from physio it’s most likely shin splints. Going to take the full time off until the 9th, tape it up as much as I can and YOLO it. Any advice (other than “don’t do it”) greatly appreciated to increase chances. Will report back, going to be an absolute battle either way. Right now today there is 0 chance I could even walk 10-15k.
