the people gatekeeping privacy like it’s their own personal property and invention are very strange to me. you mean to tell me that this “niche” thing we’ve been trying to educate the mainstream on for years is finally having its moment in the limelight, and your first thought is to deter people from joining the movement because they weren’t early enough? are you doing this because you really want to see a positive change in the world, or are you doing it strictly for clout as an internet philosopher? we should all be THRILLED that newcomers are starting to realize the importance of this and getting excited about it.
