Schumer: I want to say to Donald Trump, to Johnson, and to Thune: come to the Capitol, sit down in public, and debate us on the health care crisis that’s afflicting Americans. I’d say to President Trump, when we were with you last time—surprise, surprise, because you’re such a public figure—you didn’t want to have the cameras there. Well, the public needs to see this. I want the public to see my views on health care and how to fix the crisis—and your views, Johnson’s views, Thune’s views. And they will. I believe they’ll side with us. But your obligation—this is the way democracy works—is to debate this in public. I’m ready anytime for you to come here and debate us, in public, on the health care crisis.
