thoughts of a 24 year old :
- getting a grip of certain philosophical concepts is easy. (I.e. only worry about what you can control, life isn’t a race, don’t get caught up in what other people think about you, do everything 110%) but it’s even easier to let them fall between the everyday life you live and the near daily monotonous issues you have to deal with, like sand. The important thing is to develop a deep understanding and adhere these thoughts to your core values rather than let them dissipate.
- money, glory and sex seem to be the driving factor for most people my age but there will inevitably come a time when all these vain wants and desires disappear and all you’re left with is the decisions you’ve made throughout your life, what you spent your time doing, and who you spent them with. Probably the 3 most important things in the world.
- everyone on the planet gets caught up in the game of comparison at some point in their life, it really is the thief of joy. ESPECIALLY in crypto. There will always be some 16 year olds who understand the game better than you and will make more money than you. It’s inevitable. There will always be bigger fish with more money, more followers, more motion, but these are all things out of your control. If you let other people’s lives and decisions influence yours negatively, there will never be a time you’re happy. The only thing you can control is you, and until you fully grasp that you will never be able to move forward in life. It will permanently be 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
- there will ALWAYS be another trade, chasing the new shiny thing doesn’t always end well. The majority of the time someone i know loses a large chunk of their portfolio it’s because they’re trading off borrowed conviction or they’re chasing a trade they missed (me included).
- finding what matters to you, finding your purpose, finding your North Star is what will make getting out of bed in the morning a joy. Its what takes you from uninterested and bored with life, distracting yourself from the fact that you don’t have a purpose with partying etc, to completely dialed in and ECSTATIC to get out of bed and crush the day.
