How big can Futarchy / @MetaDAOProject get? Most the discussions I'm seeing around $META are valuing it mainly as an ICM launchpad. While unruggable ICOs are giga bullish, esp when combined with AMM, I think some people are underestimating what this can be. TLDR: Thinking of META as an ICM launchpad and benchmarking it to things like Launchcoin, Heaven DEX, etc is too small-minded. There are no comps for what a functioning Futarchy is worth at scale. There is no valuation ceiling if the network keeps growing. Why? Futarchy benefits from network effects: the more volume and attention on the network, the more manipulation-resistant it becomes, and the better the prediction model is. Wisdom of crowds benefits from larger crowds. As META goes in holders, volume, number of projects using it, the better the network is = upwards reflexivity in fair valuation. Self-improving systems: Any improvements that can make META more bullish can be proposed and implemented. I think priority to META holders for new launches that go over any caps would add value to META for example, I can write a proposal for this. Most changes do not require any central actor to ship updates (ie waiting for Launchcoin flywheel, etc.). Almost all inefficiencies can be fixed. Governance Standard: What happens in a world where ALL aligned projects are leveraging Futarchy for their on-chain governance / ownership layers. This means most aligned teams either 1) launch through META or 2) adopt Futarchy to govern ongoing decisions. This drives tons of volume through meta protocols and can be a huge revenue lever even for projects not launching coins on META directly. Futarchy has a chance to scale much bigger than most people are thinking. If you believe in a decentralized, on-chain future, then governance HAS to be a big part of that. Obviously, there are risks and that future even in a bull case is a ways away, but it is possible. I am not telling you to buy META, it's up nearly 3x from where I first posted about it.
