We share the wins, we share the learnings. I've been cooking in DeFi, but chasing a high-yield LP, I got absolutely washed. Multiple times, my Hype/Plasma pool went 100% XPL, and by the end of it, I was down ~30% (more than fees earned by A LOT). So what's the lesson? There are a few, but there's one big one: I left my strategy at the door to chase yield. Previously, I'd been LPing assets I don't mind holding - pairs that included assets like ApeCoin, Hyperliquid, ETH, and Solana. And, I have those staking and in vaults to help offset impertinent loss. Conversely, I have no longterm thesis on XPL, no vault/stake strategy, didn't intend to hold it beyond the LP, and was simply looking for APR on fees. And, when the LP cleared, I chased it again. And again. Don't do that. I'm always aware of the risks of any new industry, and this was an expensive, but important lesson. Glad I learned it. Back to the strategy! Onward we go 🤙
btw I put the down cash into $hype so we’re slowly trying to recover.
