It’s always validating when you build something over time and, a while later, a standard emerges that formalises it.
I’m not a big fan of early standardisation, because usually you learn by doing, not by just thinking.
We launched the first mechs (AI agents offering services to other agents in return for crypto micropayments) in summer 2023. Since then, agents have done over 7 million transactions on Olas, trading data for prediction markets, inference, and more.
When the x402 standard was announced by @coinbase earlier this year, it got us excited. It’s now making its way into our Mech Marketplace.
