So what's a πdentity, and how do I get one?
Tldr: a "πfp" where I create custom 1/1 representations of YOU via the digits of pi. Fully onchain. Minting starting on Saturday, but taking advance requests now. Price is .0628 ETH. QED

Most people first encounter pi in geometry – for any perfect circle, it's the ratio of the circumference to the diameter. But pi plays an equally central and surprising role in my favorite branch of math, number theory. Believe it or not, the sum of the reciprocals of the squares of all the positive integers (1 + 1/4 + 1/9 + ...) is equal to π²/6 🤯
Plus almost uniquely among mathematical constants, pi has achieved a degree of public fascination: it stars in movies like Contact and (naturally) Pi, for example; and "Pi Day" on 3/14 has become something of a national holiday.
And while humans have studied pi quite literally since the time of ancient Babylon, it's still full of mysteries that persist to the present. One of those mysteries is the question of whether pi contains every possible digit string. Looking at pi, it seems like it simply *must* be true – yet proving or disproving this has stumped mathematicians for centuries.
But in practice, it's possible to find most shortish digit strings in the range of digits we've already computed. And that's the basis for what we're doing here:
With πdentities, each collector gets a personalized identity signature, found deep in the digits of pi, colored via sampling from their pfp or other basis image, and stored fully onchain.
It's a unique representation of *you*, woven into math older than time. And with it onchain, hopefully it will outlast time, too.
The token itself includes two different pi representations: a large digital canvas version, and a smaller "picon" ideal for use in a profile picture or email signature. Each is created custom, so there may be hidden Easter eggs and other unexpected personalizations.
I will start minting these on Saturday, 6/28, which is "2π Day" (aka Tau Day). Price is .0628 (i.e., .0314 for each of the two πs the collector receives), via OpenSea private sale.
