Supported Markets#

Onchain provides a shared execution and settlement environment for two market types:

• Spot: Direct exchange of supported crypto assets.
• Perpetual futures: Long or short exposure with leverage, no expiry date, and periodic funding payments.

Both products operate under a unified account with shared margin. Account balances and eligible assets are managed within a single margin framework, allowing available equity to support trading activities across spot and perpetual markets. Unrealized PnL from perpetual positions can also contribute to margin calculations, subject to applicable risk rules. Internal transfers between product accounts are not required. Deposits and withdrawals are handled per supported token.

Orders, amendments, cancellations, fills, funding, and liquidation are processed as Onchain transactions. Signed actions are replayed and verified by network nodes, and resulting balances and trading states are committed to the Onchain ledger.
