I really enjoy finding the reading excerpts for the next Memory Research Group session. Earlier this month as part of Memory Research Group we read Cognition in the Wild by Edwin Hutchins from 1995, and I'm still thinking about conclusions in the final chapter, written 30 years ago:

Our traditional education system is clearly at an existential crisis, and yet I don’t know any optimistic models/companies here. We should be outraged that in cognitive-forming years, most children copy-paste with ChatGPT. Moral imperative for something greater.
