What's DEX Referral program?

The DEX Referral Program is a Web3-native rewards mechanism that helps you expand your trading network while earning passive income. When people you invite trade on OKX DEX, you’ll earn a commission from their trading fees—automatically credited to your wallet.

The program supports Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, and other EVM-compatible chains.

How do I create and share a referral code?

How do I create a referral code?

DEX referral will be rolled with beta testing starting from 25th August 2025. During the beta testing, the referral code creation will be open to allowlisted users only. You can apply for the Beta whitelist here.

1. On the OKX Wallet webpage, select Connect Wallet at the top menu to connect with your OKX seed phrase wallet. Please note that private key wallets, hardware wallets, and other wallet types aren’t supported at this time. The address generated by this wallet will be used as the commission address to receive commissions.

2. Create a referral code for the first time by selecting Create referral code on the DEX Referral dashboard to generate a custom referral code.

3. You can create a custom referral code using 5–9 letters or numbers. Once created, the code can't be modified or deleted.

   • You can set the invitee’s trading fee discount for each code, ranging from 0% to 20%. Only whole numbers are allowed. Your invitees can enjoy the trading fee discount you set when trading on OKX DEX using the wallet bound with the referral code. After the referral code is created successfully, the total commission rate may change accordingly with your referral level, but the invitee trading fee discount remains unchanged.    • The first referral code created by a wallet will be set as the default. If you want to change it, you can reset the default from the Codes menu on the Referral dashboard.

   • You can add a note that's only visible to yourself. This helps you better classify and manage different referral codes.

4. Each wallet account can generate up to 20 invitation codes. Select Codes menu and select Create code in the Referral dashboard to create more referral codes. You can also view more details and manage your referral codes on the Codes menu.

How do I share a referral code?

After creating the referral code, you can share the invitation link and invite friends to use your referral code to trade on OKX DEX in the following ways:

1. Share invitation link from the Referral dashboard: you can directly copy and share your default referral code at the top of the Referral dashboard.

   

   Copy the link and share it where necessary

   If you need to share other referral codes, please head to the Referral dashboard page > Codes, and select the copy link option in the operation menu of the corresponding referral code.

   

   Click the Action button on the row of your preferred referral code and copy the link

2. Add or modify the referral code parameters directly on the shared link: a convenient way to share is available – without frequent visits to the referral management center and switching wallets. Just add the referral code parameter after a specific link to create your exclusive invitation link.

   General rules:

   • When you share the supported share link types listed below in OKX Web3, add

     ?ref= your invitation code, so others can receive your invitation after clicking the link.

   • Example: After adding the referral code CODE123 to the link, it becomes

     https://web3.okx.com/ul/joindex?ref=CODE123. You may manually add or change to other referral code in the link.

   What are the supported link types?

   • General invitation link : https://web3.okx.com/ul/joindex

     • This is a general referral page link, which is consistent with the format of the link you copied and shared from the Referral dashboard. Example of a referral code added to a general invitation link:

       https://web3.okx.com/ul/joindex?ref=CODE123

   • Feature page share link

     • Click on the Share button on the page

     • Copy the link in the share pop-up window

     • At the end of the link add ?ref= your referral code
Note: if you have created a referral code before, the sharing link will automatically include your default referral code. You can directly modify the content after ?ref= to use other referral codes.

   Which pages support sharing links that include referral codes?

   • Wallet Homepage > Wallet balance sharing (On the app only)

   • Quotes > Token Details > Share token details

     Load the Share button within the My positions section

   • Token > leaderboard > wallet PnL sharing

     

     Select the Share button within the PnL section

     Once on the crypto page, select the Share button

     Once you're in the My positions section, select Share

3. Manual entry: you can also guide your friends to enter the referral code manually in the Referral dashboard.

How do I view invitee and commission details?

When the invitee binds your invitation code and completes trades on OKX DEX, which involves service fees, you'll receive real-time commission income. All commission data can be viewed in the Referral dashboard. They're as below:

How do I accept an invitation as an invitee?

How do I bind a referral code?

1. When the invitee clicks the invitation link or scans the QR code of the referral code, they'll see the invitation details and the invitee trading fee discount provided by the referral code.

2. Invitee can also bind a referral code from the Referral dashboard landing page. By clicking Enter referral code and entering the preferred referral code in the pop-up window. Select a wallet that supports binding referral codes. The referral code will be bound to the wallet after wallet signing. And invitees will enjoy the trading fee discount right away.

What are the wallet types that support binding invitation codes?

• Seed phrase wallet

• Private key wallet (Currently only supports SOLANA and EVM networks)

Multiple chain addresses (such as ETH addresses and SOL addresses) under the same wallet account will be bound to the same referral code.

Rules for referral code binding:

• Each wallet can only be bound to one referral code on each device.

• The bound invitation code will be saved on the current device and cannot be changed.

• When the same wallet is imported on multiple devices:

  • Each device can be bound to different referral codes.

  • The invitation code bound to device A and the invitation code bound to device B are independent of each other.

  • The commission generated from trades on device A will be attributed to the referral code bound to that device.

  • The commission generated by device B will be included in the referral code bound to that device.

What could cause loss or inability to obtain commission?

• Possible situations that may lead to the loss of invitation relationship:

  • Uninstall mobile apps or clear app data

  • Remove your wallet extension from browser

  • Manually clear browser cookies and other website data

• Possible situations where commission rebates may not apply:

  • Invitee trades with token pairs involve no service fee

  • Invitee trades in Incognito mode
