Curve is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol. Using the specialized bonding curve algorithm, Curve enables the exchange of stablecoins with low slippage and minimal price impact.

In 2021, Curve upgraded to V2 and introduced the "TriCrypto" liquidity pool. Here you can trade three tokens at once, which reduces slippage and provides better returns for you.

The CRV ERC-20 token serves primarily as Curve's governance token. CRV tokens can be locked up to get veCRV (vote-escrowed CRV). veCRV holders can vote to determine the amount of CRV rewards allocated to each pool and can also get more rewards from investing in Farm.

You can earn trading fees from all liquidity pools. Also, you can have CRV via token emission by the protocol. The amount of CRV differs in each pool, depending on DAO voting for the distribution across the pools.
