An Air Canada plane that had just landed a New York’s LaGuardia Airport collided with a fire truck last Sunday night. Tragically, both the pilot and co-pilot lost their lives in the incident. My condolences go out to their families, colleagues, and everyone affected. Stuff like this could easily be avoided if we had AI systems helping solo air traffic controllers and ground crews coordinate in real time. Technology exists that could prevent these kinds of communication breakdowns and runway incursions it’s time we put it to use
