The wrong lesson is going to be learned from Republican electoral weakness/losses in 2026-2028. The wrong lesson is going to be: Trump/Iran made the GOP suddenly unpopular, so we lost. That is exactly the wrong lesson to learn. Actually, Trump was the ONLY popular person in the GOP from 2015-2025. The ONLY one. The GOP has been making themselves deeply unpopular and despised for literally decades. If the war craters Republican chances in the upcoming cycles, the lesson is: the winning formula for the Right is to *always* lean into Trumpism and away from normie GOPism. This war's low popularity is a good reminder to Donald Trump himself to always lean into Trumpism--it is still the best political formula we've got. Coming soon: "Real Trumpism has never been tried" 😅
