At the end of this week, it became clear that we'll see proof-of-human rolled out to social networks probably as early as Q2.
Two overlapping debates are happening

JUST IN: Reddit CEO says the company is considering requiring Face ID to ensure humanity in order to crack down on AI bots.
Verifiability: What's the most practical approach? The trade-off between ease of use and how effectively it mitigates the problem.
Privacy: This debate is surprisingly shallow, even among tech people.
One camp says it's dystopian and should never be done in any form. But the problem is real, and I haven't seen a single good argument for why we don't need proof-of-human on the internet.
The other camp focuses only on functionality and ignores the potential harms of tracking everyone.
For me, it's clear: proof-of-human will be essential infrastructure for the internet.
Identity has always been fundamental to society.
That's why I'm pushing to make these solutions as private as possible.
Not based on trusting a single organization, but on cryptography-maxxing.
