Red States that attract richer residents with lower taxes should be able to lower taxes even further as richer residents flow in, adding more to the tax base than they extract from it at lower rates. Which raises the question of why that didn't happen in the Blue States. (Democrats won counties that account for 2/3 of the country's wealth.)

This is so insane it’s hard to believe
Blue states will have to tax the remaining base at a higher rate to compensate for the departure of the rich, thereby forcing out the next tier.
