Today Penguin Press announced my new book, Off Ramp: How to Be a Peacemaker in an Age of Contempt. I’ve been working on this project for a few years. It’s about something I think a lot of us feel. We’re losing the ability to disagree without seeing each other as enemies. There has to be a better way, and this book is my attempt to find it. It isn’t easy. And I don’t always get it right.
