The day before yesterday, after discussing with a few friends in the group, I found that after so long of hype in the RWA track, the most practical option still seems to be TradFi on-chain stocks, focusing on underlying liquidity, asset types, and adoption.
I just noticed that Ondo has now expanded its tokenized stocks by 60 at once, covering the energy, commodities, and technology sectors. Instead of creating inefficient liquidity pools on-chain, Ondo directly connects to the original liquidity of traditional markets and has also listed its tokenized stocks in bulk on Binance Alpha. In the future, there may also be DeFi stacking.
The efficiency of expanding 60 stocks in a single batch is impressive in terms of liquidity architecture, and it now accounts for more than half of the entire tokenized stock market share, creating a certain scale effect that allows non-U.S. users to access these global assets on-chain 24/7. Moreover, with BlackRock's endorsement, this is likely one of the reasons why leading exchanges and asset management giants choose to integrate.
