I share the deep grief that so many leaders in the labor, civil rights, Latino communities and families of the movement are feeling today. I deeply admire the women and their families who, after decades, have found the support and platform to speak their truth. The voices of Dolores Huerta, Debra Rojas and Ana Murguia deserve to be heard, respected, and believed.  Honoring them also means honoring the legacy of the United Farm Workers and the workers I’ve had the privilege to meet over the years. We uplift that legacy by continuing the fight for dignity, fairness, and safe conditions for all workers, especially women.
