Why Makina? We value the infrastructure for what it offers: trustless onchain NAV, atomic execution, and strong cryptographic guardrails around operator permissions. Every approved action is encoded in a Merkle tree and enforced onchain. If an action is not in the tree, it cannot be executed.

The USD Machine is our first deployment on Makina, aggregating all our strategies into a single deposit on Ethereum. The Machine is designed to run autonomously and dispassionately, allocating to a range of opportunities curated by Steakhouse’s noncustodial infrastructure and underwritten by our risk management framework.

Under the hood: Makina's Machines operate through Calibers, chain-local execution engines that hold funds and interact with protocols on each chain. All position values relay back to the Machine, which computes aggregated NAV onchain. The Machine Token price reflects actual NAV. We as operator have no influence on how it is struck.

Governance is layered. Three roles sit above the Operator: Risk Manager, Security Council, and Root Guardians. No single party has unchecked authority. Configuration changes are timelocked, vetoed, and publicly auditable.

Rewards: native yield from Steakhouse-curated USD strategies, plus Makina Season 2 points with a 1.0x multiplier, converting to MAK tokens at TGE.
