PANews reported on March 18 that Tempo, a stablecoin supported by Stripe and Paradigm, announced the launch of its mainnet and launched the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), an open standard jointly developed by it and Stripe, to support machine payment scenarios for various payment methods such as stablecoins and bank cards. Tempo is designed for high-frequency, small, programmable payments, with an emphasis on predictable low rates, high throughput, and instant settlement. MPP introduces the "sessions" mechanism to realize continuous streaming deduction within a limited amount after authorization once, and supports the aggregation of a large number of small interactions into a single settlement transaction. The first batch of connected service catalogs includes more than 100 model, data and infrastructure providers, as well as Visa, Mastercard, OpenAI, Shopify, Standard Chartered, etc. as partners to test cross-border remittances, global distribution, embedded finance and tokenized deposits.
