🚨Texas vs. California, aka Energy Dominance vs. Energy Neediness. Both Texas and California consume roughly the same amount of oil every day - ~1.6-1.8 million barrels per day. So far, so good. But it's the production where the great disparity lies. Take a look. ◾️Texas produces 5.675 million bpd, leaving it 4 million leftover to export, either to other countries or to other big consuming states like New York, Florida, Ohio, and Illinois. ◾️California, meanwhile, produces just 300,000 bpd despite holding an incredible wealth in oil reserves, meaning it must import about 1.3 million bpd just to meet its own daily needs. ◾️Worse, Gavin Newsom has refused to allow new oil pipelines which could carry U.S. crude from states like Texas to his needy state, which forces California's few remaining refineries to import crude from foreign countries like - you guessed it - Iran. Keep in mind that these incredible disparities - Texas's energy dominance vs. California's energy neediness - are directly the result of the failed government policies of the Newsom administration. Texas policies - Market Driven energy dominance. California policies - Centrally planned energy neediness. And now you know the rest of the story. @GavinNewsom @GregAbbott_TX #California #Texas #Energy
