Dear compatriots, For you who have been victims of the injustice, torture, and repression of the Islamic Republic over the past five decades; For the grieving mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, sisters and brothers who have suffered and sought justice as this tyrannical regime has added to your numbers and pains every year, every month, and every day; Today, with pride, and in pursuit of achieving justice for each and every one of you, I have issued the decree to establish the "Committee for the Drafting of Transitional Justice Regulations." This committee will be tasked with drafting the regulations for a court and a truth commission. The members of this committee are experienced and specialized Iranians from four different generations: Dr. Shirin Ebadi, Mr. Iraj Mesdaghi, Dr. Leila Bahmani, and Dr. Afshin Elyan. Ms. Ebadi has accepted the presidency of this committee. Additionally, several of the most prominent international legal scholars will assist this committee as advisors. Transitional justice is an important part of our lawful transition program. The truth will be revealed. Justice will be served. Light will triumph over darkness. Long live Iran, Reza Pahlavi
