Now is a good time to bring up my concept of "Enlightened Normie-ism" again. Enlightened Normie-ism is basically, having lived online and processed all the internet has to offer, deciding to essentially reject the theory of online and what constitutes valuable information according to the weird and wild internet. Basically rejecting that the more novel, more weirder, more outlandish, more offensive, and more convoluted a theory or an idea is the more true it is. This is also essentially the logic of Take-ism, something native to the internet. So Enlightened Normie-ism is basically just rejecting that and becoming a "normie" again in some sense of the word by moving past the logic of takes and the pollution of the logic that more novel is always better. Enlightened Normie-ism takes different forms. For some it's lifestyle or just attitude. Stopping the search for the most novel theories and stopping caring about the hit that comes from acquiring some hot new info that not everyone knows. For others it means leaving politics behind and others it means basically returning to more reliable sources of information. You see this currently with some basically just relying again on MSM for information because X is so full of straight up fake lying and anti-reality. WSJ is not going to feed you AI slop vids brought to you from Karachi, out and out lying, or any of other toxic sludge that floats around here. There was a time when the idea was that what you see on twitter (online) is actually the truest of the true and the most insightful of the most insightful and that's where you are really getting to the nub of things. It's still true to some degree among a very select few users and select few domains, but in a sense much of the place is kind of a sewer today and is full of more sludge than ever, and for many a funhouse of anti-reality. We are actually in the early process of seeing the old theory of twitter die. It was kind of a democratic theory, or maybe a populist theory that casted doubts on any "establishment". But it's dying a bit for those with some brain cells who are in response basically relearning the logic of elitism or maybe just establishments and that realization is also a part of Enlightened Normie-ism.
