Each subnet is a market-based factory, coordinating miners to produce a digital commodity and rewarding the best outputs. These commodities can include: Compute, distributed training, fine-tuning, inference, data, labels, synthetic data, evaluations, ranking, RL environments, agents, vision, audio, storage, privacy tooling, VPNs, search, forecasting, and prediction markets. This weekend at @frontiertower, builders at the @FundingCommons hackathon will be designing new subnets for the sovereign AI infra stack.

A Bittensor subnet coordinates participants to produce a commodity that serves an open market. Miners produce work (from anywhere in the world.) Validators score it. Yuma Consensus aggregates rankings onchain + routes emissions based on performance.

SN3 // @tplr_ai Covenant-72B is the largest decentralized LLM pre-training run in history: 72B parameters, trained by Bittensor miners on subnet 3. With proper coordination + incentive alignment, we can compete with frontier AI labs.
