Token Narrative:This is the first "fully integrated" buyback and burn AI agent token on the pumpfun platform.
Simply put, it is now possible to issue a token on Solana for an AI agent that does not run on the pumpfun platform itself. You can then set a percentage so that a portion of the future earnings of this AI agent is automatically used to buy back its own token on-chain and then burn it. The purpose of this is: the more the AI agent earns → the more it buys back and burns → the token supply decreases → theoretically benefiting holders. This allows the community and early supporters to truly benefit from the AI agent's success, rather than just the developers, addressing the issue in many current AI Agent projects where "the token has little to no connection to the actual business."
They call this the "Agentic Economy." However, the pumpfun community's reaction to this feature is polarized: Some think it's cool, finally allowing the success of an AI agent to reflect back on the token. Others see it as an unnecessary complication, even cursing it as "another cash-grab feature."
But in my opinion, while automatic buybacks from fees sound like they could create buying pressure, if meme trading volume drops, the fees become nearly zero, and the buybacks essentially stop. However, this is all just my personal analysis and does not constitute investment advice.
